The summer reading program is on a roll ~ join the wild ride ! Why not read that book you started but didn’t finish or the one that’s been beckoning to you? Or reread an old favorite to revisit those characters? For a new twist, visit your local library and observe the different activities taking place for the different age levels: children, teens, young adults, and seniors. Join the summer reading program and challenge yourself to read 6 or more books over the summer! Our local library features prizes such as bicycles for young people (donated by yours truly!), a Kindle for adults, free DVD rental coupons, book store bucks, pens, journals, tote bags, and (of course) free books. You can even get credit for listening to audiobooks! Hurry, though, most programs end by mid-August, because that’s when schools start up again, and it’s time to get into the school routines!
